Kermit & Alberta Lochte's 1931 Ford Model A

Kermit and Alberta Lochte bought this 'fixer-upper' 1931 Ford Model A coupe in 1987. To quote Kermit, "It looked far better than it was." The body and chassis had hidden rust, the engine ran but used a lot of oil and the interior was pretty much shot. Over the next three years, both Kermit and Alberta, with help from a nephew, performed a frame-off restoration in their own garage. While the engine was sent out to be professionally rebuilt, they did everything else themslves. Alberta did the interior. The project was finished in 1990. Again to quote Kermit, "It was intersting and an education, but never again !!!"
