"Taylor Made Motors," is owned and operated by James "Jimmy" Taylor, a third generation Model A guy. His grandfather, also Jimmy, was a founding member of the Alamo As way back in 1965. "Taylor Made Motors" is now the busiest Ford Model A repair shop in South Texas. If you are having issues with the performance and reliability of your Ford Model A, Jimmy has 25 years of experience working to call on to get you back on the road, better than ever. He does not create show cars. He is interested in increasing reliability and performance and installs modern mechanicals that will improve the safety, reliability and performance of the Model A.

In an average year Jimmy rebuilds around twenty engines, returning them to active duty with modern components that will allow folks to drive their Model A as far as they want with no concerns about mechanical breakdown and, indeed, a little higher performance than they had back in the 1930s. He also works on all aspects of the Ford Model A, from body work and paint to brakes and suspensions. If you want a Model A that you can confidently take on long distance cruises and tours, Jimmy will do his thing and when he's done you will have far less to worry about. Your A will also be good in parades which can be very hard on automobiles, with the low speeds and lots of stooping and waiting.

Of course your car will look great. It will still look like a regular Ford Model A. The modifications underneath the surface will look subtle and appropriate. No one will think you are driving a souped-up hot rod! Business is so good that Jimmy recently gave up his house remodeling business to focus on Ford Model As full time.
